Proyecto - DIY Bolsa de mensajero de tela

Luego de ver a Dean Corso (Johnny  Depp) y a Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) usar sus fabulosas bolsas para cargar cosas, y viendo que en realidad, las que me gustan son muy caras (En Querétaro hay lugares donde las venden, pero la calidad no me gusta, amen de que están llenas de etiquetas), opté por hacer una propia. Y aquellas que sí me gustan, son demasiado caras para mi bolsillo (acá fue el evento Photofest, y el costo era de $2,200 pesos, cerca de 150 dólares)

La bolsa que usa Dean Corso ( La novena puerta). 

Hermosa bolsa de NatGeo, pero a 2,200 pesos. Usando el tipo de cambio McDonalds (40 pesos /big mac, podría comprar 55 hamburguesas con lo de esta bolsa). 

Todas bolsas de tipo mensajero (messenger bag) cuya característica es la tapa que cubre parte del cuerpo de la bolsa. 

Una vez más, ¡manos a la obra!

Aquí los MATERIALES

• Tela gruesa (En Querétaro, México. Todas las telas las compré en PLASTEL. Calle Allende entre Pino Suárez y Francisco I. Madero. Centro Histórico. )
• Tela semi gruesa (para la correa que nos servirá para colgarla. Lo hice así ya que en Plastel no hay correa de algodón, sólo de materiales sintéticos). 
• Tela delgada (para el forro)
• Sobre para teñir de color café tabaco (Marca El Caballito)

Primero, corté crudamente los pedazos de tela,

Leí por ahí que hay que lavarla antes y así, húmeda, teñirla. Y no medirla antes, porque se encoge. Siendo así, la lavé. 

En una olla de 10 lts., calenté agua simple y cuando hierve, se vacía un sobre de colorante El Caballito e introducir la tela a teñir. 

Se saca y se cuelga a tender.

Sometimes have you feel like a little girl, needing protection? Today, when I was running, I feel that way: a sensacion to be alone, to start crying.

Ayer (o más bien hoy) te envié el mensaje donde te avisaba que no te iba a despertar y dormí. Por la mañana es que leí tu mensaje, y el fragmento que decía. "Despertaré pues sola :-(". No sabes lo que me dolieron esas palabras. Me sentí mal (muy mal) de colocarme en un lugar superior a ti, y suponer que merecías descansar más. Perdóname, no se volverá a repetir. Eres una persona que no necesita esas "ayudas".


Lo cual me lleva a otro asunto, que no está bien tratarlo por estos medios, sino en persona. Sin embargo, quiero que lo sepas. Perdóname por no saber cómo tratarte. La vida me enseñó que a ciertas mujeres les sienta bien se les tengan ciertas atenciones, como abrirles la puerta del carro, pasar por ellas a casa, invitarles algo, etc. Tu no eres así. No se si soy anticuado, demodé o qué cosa, pero así me siento. Ojalá me ayudes a resolverlo. No sabes el conflicto que eso me causa. Entiendo que eres otro tipo de mujer de aquellas que conozco, quien no necesita depender de otros para esas nimiedades. Pero no deja de ser complicado para mi, transitar por esta senda. Una más: llamarte por la mañana, y que te sientas mal por el crédito que gasto. ¿Por qué dices esas cosas?


Mi consuelo es que no nos veremos hasta el año entrante, cuando termine el semestre y vuelvas a tener un poco de tiempo.


Bueno, hasta aquí. Pensé en preguntarle a alguien cómo resolverlo, pero no conozco a nadie(n) que me ayude. Así que opté por acudir a la interesada primerísima.

PD. No me causará ningún problema enviarte mensaje a las 5:30. Sabes que es un gusto y un lujo. Algún día quizás inclusive nos cruzaremos, ya que no se qué días yo también entraré a dar clase a las 7 am.

Moleskine, Comercialization of a myth.

This is not a Molespobre

I just found a blog from Brazil speaking about a Molespobre. Maybe a poor desing and final treatment, however is useful.

A few years ago, at TV spots people says "Lo hecho en México, está bien hecho" (Made in Mexico, well done is a posible translation).

This is NOT a Molespobre. Is not a Moleskine. Is a notebook coming from Mexico.

9 x 14 cm, a standard pocket Moleskine. The paper coming from and old Scribe ruled notebook, 56gr/m2, 6 signatures of 6 sheets of paper, 96 pages. Plus guard sheets, internal pocket. The red part is a fabric named "cabeza de indio" (head of a Indian), and the cover is recicled paper. I feel like Indy using it!

What we find when open the moleskine?

A Moleskine notebook can be open completely. This is due to the coptic binding. What I see is that MN (Moleskine Notebook), it has 4 holes for the thread. Each hole is (from the top). Doble thread and a very thin size! 

And as you can see, the binding is not perfect, as you can notice in the thread! :D Not a big deal, but not perfect. Again, when we see the guard sheet, who hides the hard cover, is not a perfect job (again!)

Moleskine says that the notebook has "192 sheets of paper", but, how many sheets are useful?

At least 2 sheets, not!

Important issues of Moleskine,

* The leather does not touch the back.
* The inner pocket is made of cartón, not paper.
* The elastic band is hided by the inner pocket.
* The side of the inner pocket is made of listón, not paper.

But ...

* The paper is simply fantastic!

How a real moleskine looks?

I just bought a moleskine at Fondo de Cultura Económica ( MX $135 , as today, US $10), in order to see how a real Moleskine looks. Very expensive!! At this day, June 2010, 135 pesos is like 15 lt of gas, 17 600 ml coke bottles ... , 13.5 kg of tortillas, 20 kg of fresh oranges ... any way.

Moleskine pocket sizes 9 x 14 x 1 cm. Black cover, guard sheets in yellow. Inner pocket same color, in cartone. Side of inner pocket in black, made of liston. Elastic band, also black. Guide, morado color.

When you open the notebook, you'll find another of the main issues of Moleskine: "in case of loss, please return to: " and, "as a reward $". Maybe a good idea elsewhere in the world. Not in México :(. Not a good idea here with insecurity, express kidnapping, etc. Not a good idea to leave personal data to be contacted. If you lose your Mole here, please buy another one :(.

In the last part of the Moleskine, we find the "expandable inner pocket", one of the main issue of the Moleskine cahiers.

The paper feels so good. Very thin. Yellow, look so good. You need to buy a new one in order to feel it!
